The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - Review

I usually don't read book based on life ordeals but after all the hype the book garnered, I read it after much contemplation. This is one of the finest books I have ever read and yes an unforgettable one. John Green did a great job.

"The Fault, dear Brutus, Is not In Our Stars, but in ourselves." - Shakespeare

The Fault In Our Stars is a journey about emotions, courage, friendship, love and hope. It revolves around Hazel Grace Lancaster, who is sixteen years old and diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and Augustus Waters who fears oblivion, lost his leg due to osteosarcoma and is seventeen years old.
They both had an awkward encounter with each other at the Support Group, which is basically a group for cancer patients, who talk about their "battle".

They both met, became friends and then lovers. Which is all very nice. They would play games at each others house, discuss their hobbies, passion etc. It is a heart warming relationship between Hazel and Gus and they are united by their passion for reading. They both are intrigued by the end of The Imperial Affliction by Peter Van Houten. After many letters and emails to Peter Van Houten, finally they get a reply from him which is a probable invitation to Amsterdam where he lives.
Both are excited to go to Amsterdam to meet their favourite author and Hazels third "best friend".
Augustus goes to the Genies and wishes to go to Amsterdam so that he and Hazel  might get their answers from the author. Everything was in place but unfortunately Hazel was to be admitted to the ICU.
As soon as she recovered they left for Amsterdam with medical aid and her mom as a guardian.

Their meeting did not go well down with Peter Van Houten who was adamant on not revealing the end because it was fictitious novel and they were stupid enough to fly down to Amsterdam for their silly whims.
Hazel now hated him. Although the're trip wasn't ruined. Hazel and Gus were together which is all they wanted. They could be themselves with each other.
So as the book ends, tears come rolling down.
Read the book to find out the end because this one is too good to be revealed.

In life we cant get everything what we want because this world is not wish granting factory. We need to accept things sooner or later that we humans are made for the world and not the world for us.

"Some infinities are larger than other infinities." This book is not less than an infinity in itself.
This novel will take you on a roller coaster ride for sure. There are those small yet vital elements that uplift the essence of the book. It has got the right amount of emotions with a dash of funny aspect and yet it manages to pull the show. The narrator who happens to be a girl and author John Green who is a man, writes from the point of view of a girl and manages to do it quite uniquely and brilliantly. In all this book cant be missed. Its a must read in my opinion.
Hope you like it!
